A treehouse is a small, often temporary or semi-permanent structure built in, on, or around one or more trees. Treehouses can vary from simple wooden platforms mounted high off the ground to elaborate structures with multiple levels and amenities. They are usually designed for recreational use, as well as for leisure activities such as reading, sleeping, or just relaxing among the branches of a tree.
